Dr. Smith, with over 35 years of diverse medical experience, joined Ellis and Badenhausen Orthopaedics in 1993. Since 1994, he has also been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has presented and lectured at numerous sites across the US on various upper and lower extremity injuries. Dr. Smith has been recognized by the Kentucky Athletic Trainers Society as the Sports Medicine Person of the Year, and received recognition as “Top Doc” in Orthopaedics by Louisville Magazine. He has been involved as team physician with multiple sports teams including the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, numerous area high schools, and the Louisville Bats.
